Lead-Safe Prep
Containment and controlled removal on pre-1978 homes, which in this city is most of them.

Most of the near-east and near-west side
Houses built before 1978 can carry lead in their paint layers, and disturbing those layers is regulated under the EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting rule. On an ordinary repaint, that changes how the scraping and sanding are done.
What it looks like on site
Ground containment below the work area, controlled removal rather than dry open-air sanding, HEPA cleanup, and a verified clean before containment comes down. It adds hours to the prep. It is not optional.
