Carpentry Repair
Rotted sills, trim, soffit and fascia replaced before they are painted — because you cannot paint rot.

We do this because we have to, not to sell it
Every exterior repaint on an older Madison house turns up some soft wood: a sill end, a fascia run behind a bad gutter, the bottom of a corner board. Painting over it hides the problem for one season and costs you the whole elevation later.
Replaced in kind
Rotted sections are cut out and replaced with matching profile stock, primed on all six sides before installation, then finished with the rest of the house.
